    Job Description

HELLO. THIS IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO CONTRIBUTE TO A DYNAMIC CONSERVATION ORIENTED NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT IS DIRECTLY HELPING PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD WHO HAVE BEEN NEGATIVELY IMPACTED BY COVID TRAVEL SHUTDOWNS. We are looking for one individual to help guide and manage our social media (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter at present) to help our non profit Foundation to build and expand its online presence. THE POSITION IS VIRTUAL AND PART TIME, work from home, with frequent Zoom/Teams check ins. At present, the organization is run by a cadre of volunteers and part time employees. This role pays an initial hourly rate of $25-35 per hour, with flexible hours, 8-15 hours per week.

We require a person familiar with Facebook Pages and Instagram, navigating and leveraging Facebook Business Suite, Ad manager and related functionality. The successful candidate must have excellent English writing and editing skills, be responsive, and possess a creative mind, as you will be responsible for not only operating the mechanics of the social media presence, but will also be included in discussions on campaign strategy, Foundation branding and post design. Non-Profit experience and enthusiasm are always welcome!

We are an extremely inclusive organization with global activities and we encourage contributions from all members of the team. This hourly position will enable us to scale our social media quickly and flexibly. While we are not presently funded (as an NGO) to hire full time employees, we do anticipate doing so in coming years.

We have an office in Georgia, and a presence in the bay area, with plans for an office in the Pacific region next year. While we do not yet offer a benefits package for part time employees, we do provide paid holidays.
