Job Description

The Arcanum Group is currently seeking a senior level Contract Specialist to provide acquisition management support services assisting with procuring and managing Construction contracts. This position will be performing full cradle to grave acquisition support on multiple acquisitions and will also support client requirements in the pre-award requirements development process.

Duties:

• Providing cradle to grave contracting support utilizing the FAR
• Performing acquisition strategy planning, requirement reviews, PWS/SOW development, and source selection support
• Preparing solicitations, handling contract file documentation, contract research, analysis and policy review, guidance, and regulations to make sound contracting recommendations
• Advising on price, cost, and/or financial related matters throughout the development of sourcing strategies and throughout the solicitation, evaluation, negotiation, and award of contractual actions
• Recommending business solutions to day-to-day contractual challenges
• Contract management and administration through an electronic contract writing system

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• 8 years or more of Federal Government Contracting experience utilizing the FAR that demonstrates full cradle to grave contracting experience with general knowledge of IT and professional services in order to effectively take client requirements and translate them into well-documented, well-written solicitation packages.
• 3-4 years of Direct Federal Construction Contracting Experience utilizing
• FAC-C or DAWIA Level II certification or higher
• Must be efficient in using all Microsoft Office applications and be experienced in using an electronic contract writing system to generate solicitations, contracts, and modifications.
• Must have knowledge of, and experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), ideally in procurement or contract administration.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
