    SUMMARY:   The role of the Program Coordinator is to work with Deans of Academic Affairs, FT Faculty and others at the campus level to provide students with a high quality educational experience and a high level of student support and service.  Under the direction of the Program Chair, drives the program initiatives, working collaboratively with campus leadership to implement and track program outcomes.  Responsible for resolving student issues that arise within the program.  Interested candidates must currently possess an Interior Design License from the state of Georgia and be able to present their NCIDQ control number during the hiring process. 

    Incumbent must assure that The Arts Institutes International philosophy: quality services to clients; development, growth, involvement and recognition of employees; sound economic principles; and environment which is conducive to innovation, positive thinking and expansion - is considered in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of this position.

    KEY JOB ELEMENTS:

    1. Scheduling
    • Works at the campus level on courses being offered, assignment of faculty, tracking of registration and student attendance.
    • With the support of the Dean of Academic Affairs, coordinate the logistics of room availability, room assignment, equipment and supply requirements for each course.
    1. Faculty
    • Support the hiring of instructors and coordinate teaching schedules.  Continually work to maintain a sufficient pool of capable instructions for normal course delivery and substitutions.
    • Coordinate as necessary to track adjunct teaching hours.
    • Orient new instructors and act as liaison to resolve instructor issues.  Manage instructor substitutions and course cancellations on short-notice.
    • Serves as program mentor to FT Faculty, developing system and individual training plans to improve performance and support outcomes.
    1. Students
    • Conduct student surveys on course delivery to assess and quantify the quality of programs offered and to identify opportunities to strengthen.
    • Coordinate mass communications to targeted and registered course participants regarding upcoming courses, wait list options, new offerings, etc. to maximum course participation. 
    • Ensure all marketing materials are current, campus website is maintained and updated with new information including program calendars, course descriptions, along with general news and information.
    • Oversee the use of social media as the principal driver in marketing, participant notification and engagement throughout the lifecycle of course creation, registration and post-participation.
    1. Assessment of Student Learning Outcomes
    • Coordinate the assessment of learning objectives.
    • Work to continually understand market trends, develop new programs, and pilot new Continuing Education courses on campus, via numerous methods including participant feedback.
    • Plan and implement local advertising campaigns and design marketing and other program materials to support the desired growth in student enrollment in continuing education courses.
    1. Act as a liaison between the program and other internal and external units on co-operative and co-sponsored programs especially with regard to Alumni and Community Relations, and to support special requests received regarding customized programs.

    2. Other duties as assigned by President or Dean of Academic Affairs.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES):

    1. Knowledge:

     

    a) Master’s degree with a minimum of 5 + years related experience.

    b) INTERIOR DESIGN LICENSE FROM THE STATE OF GEORGIA AND NCIDQ CONTROL NUMBER ARE REQUIRED. 

    c) Candidates should possess a strong track record in managing educational programming and services

    1. Skills:

     

    a) Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. 

    b) Strong interpersonal skills with faculty and students. 

    c) Superior organization, prioritization, and self-motivation skills. 

    d) Strong computer literacy skills with the Microsoft Office Suite.

    1. Abilities:

     

    a) Ability to conceive and market adult and youth education programs consistent with the Ai Brand. 

    b) Ability to listen to customers (e.g. staff, students, etc.) and to understand and respond positively to their requests. 

    c) Ability to adapt to changing assignments and multiple priorities. 

    d) Ability to manage multiple tasks and successfully meet deadlines.
