    Job Summary:

    Employee performs routine manual and detailed clerical work involved with receiving, storing, stocking and inventory duties in a storeroom. Work requires knowledge of stock supplies and their use. This person reports directly to the Culinary Program Chair.

    Responsibilities: 

     1. Receives and unpacks incoming orders, checking against items listed on requisitions, invoices or other order forms.

     2. Picks up, stores and delivers supplies and/or materials.

    1. Assembles and delivers requisitions to kitchens before classes begin.

     4. Rotates stocks and removes old or none usable items.

     5. Inventories stock on hand and requests supplies as needed. 

    1. Provides information and recommendations on stock items and billing to other departments.

    2. Receives hazardous chemicals and delivers them to users in original containers.

     8. Maintains records and send documents to the correct invoicing system.

    1. May performs some routine custodial or maintenance duties.

    2. Provides backup support for the exit practical and other events on campus

    Qualifications:

    • Be a full-time student at the Art Institute of Houston and qualify for the Federal Work Study Program as indicated on the 2020-2021 FAFSA form.

    • Maintain a CGPA of 2.50.

    • Maintain course attendance at no less than 90% per quarter.

    • Applicants should be able to work well with people.

    • Preform detailed tasks quickly and accurately.

    • Learn and remember complicated procedures and policies, work independently, and be punctual, reliable, and honest.

    All students will be re-evaluated each quarter according to the attached Student Employment Eligibility Quarterly Checklist.
