    SUMMARY:   The Ai Pathways Recent Graduates Program (APRGP) is targeted towards recent graduates of The Art Institutes (Ai) who have graduated from qualifying Ai programs.  The program affords developmental experiences in the areas of enrollment and student services. The program is anticipated to last for 1 year (may be up to 2 years if the training requirements of the position warrant a more structured training program).  A Participant Agreement will be established between the recent graduate and Ai which sets requirements and expectations of the program.

    Incumbent must assure that the Art Institutes (Aii) philosophy: quality services to clients; development, growth, involvement, and recognition of employees; sound economic principles; and environment which is conducive to innovation, positive thinking and expansion - is considered in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of this position.

    KEY JOB ELEMENTS:

    • Pathways Graduate will work with enrollment staff as a New Student Campus Guide & Program Specialist to assist with recruiting and onboarding potential and new students while helping them acclimate to the Ai college environment.
      • High school / community college representative
      • Stage cooking and other related demonstrations to build student engagement
      • Campus tours
      • Campus presentations
      • Student liaisons – reach out to students who have inquired about a program and would like to hear from a student
    • Pathways Graduate will work with Academic and Career Readiness Mentors to support students who have applied to a program and current students who are pursing a degree within a program.
      • Conduct one on one meetings with new students to explain the Ai college experience, explaining program specifics and expectations for successful completion of the program.
      • Meets with current students during their academic journey with Ai.
        • Assist with issues / concerns, identifying specific resources to eliminate obstacles
        • Support students through the registration process, ensuring timely completion
        • Assists students in acclimating to the campus, suggest ways student can engage with other students / programs on campus.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    REPORTS TO:  DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS, DEAN – ACADEMIC & CAREER READINESS MENTORS

    INTERACTS WITH:  Presidents, Campus Directors, Dean of Academic Affairs, Enrollment Staff, Academic & Career Readiness Mentors, students, student families

    JOB REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES):

    • Knowledge:
      • Associate / Bachelor’s degree from the Arts Institutes required.
      • Thorough understanding of methods necessary to successfully navigate the college experience.
      • Passion for assisting other students maximize their Ai experience, resulting in graduation
    • Skills:
      • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
      • Proven skills in effective communication.
      • Superior organization, prioritization, and self-motivation skills.  Ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
      • Strong computer literacy skills with the Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Abilities:
      • Ability to interact effectively with peers, student families and work collaboratively with other departments.
      • Ability to adapt to changing assignments, multiple priorities, multiple tasks and successfully meet deadlines.
      • Ability to address training needs for all student facing functions (admissions, student service, academics and finance)
      • Ability and desire to travel to campus locations if needed.
