    Job Description

    POSITION TITLE: Cora Lamping Center Residential Team Leader 

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Cora Lamping Center Residential Team Leader  will coordinate the day to day residential operations in compliance with all accreditation, regulatory and funding requirements.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    A.      DONATIONS

    1.       Will be the liaison between the Cora Lamping Center and area retailers for ongoing donations,

    2.       Responsible for the coordination and pickup of donations for the Cora Lamping Center.

    3.       Interfaces with businesses, communities and general donors advocating for the needs of the Cora Lamping Center.

    4.       Will log donations into the computer system, verify that In-Kind Donation paperwork is completed and will organize inventory on an ongoing basis.

     

    B.      SUPERVISED VISITS

    1.       Will be the first contact for Friend of the Court staff.

    2.       Coordinates/schedules all court mandated supervised visits and coordinates the monitor if the Cora Lamping Center Residential Team Leader is not available.

    3.       Completes and submits Friend of the Court paperwork in a timely manner.

    4.       Submits billing information to the Accounting Department by the 5th of each month.

     

    C.      CORA LAMPING CENTER

    1.       Will lead training of Cora Lamping Center staff with the support of the Cora Lamping Center Supervisor and the Director of Human Resources.

    2.       Will complete the monthly schedule for Resident Advocates according to agency scheduling and timekeeping procedures.

    3.       Responsible for ensuring that timekeeping processes follow agency protocols for the Resident Advocacy staff.

    4.       Responsible for ensuring quality services are provided to Cora Lamping Center clients including but not limited to:

    a.       Crisis Intervention

    b.      Advocacy

    c.       Recreation

    d.      Transportation

    e.      Safety

    5.       Coordinates with the Cora Lamping Center Supervisor and relevant staff to address facility and maintenance needs.

    6.       Coordinates with responsible staff for keeping food, cleaning, office and other needed supplies stocked in the Cora Lamping Center.

    7.       Keeps supervisor informed of high-risk situations in work with clients.

    8.       Active participation in weekly team meetings about client needs, scheduling, and other team issues. 

    9.       Responsible for conducting house meetings.

    10.   Provides community education as assigned by supervisor.

     

    D.      GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    1.       Must be able to maintain professional boundaries.

    2.       Will obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certification.

    3.       Will attend New Service Provider Training.

    4.       Participates in on-call rotation.

    5.       Attends training and continuing education activities as assigned.

    6.       Attends agency staff meetings as required.

    7.       Facilitates community partner meetings as assigned to address issues of access to service for domestic violence victims.

    8.       Adheres to agency policies and work rules, including but not limited to confidentiality and code of ethics. 

    9.       Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS

    1.       Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, social work, or related field required. 

    2.       One year experience with direct client service required

    3.       Have empathy and passion for working with victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

    4.       Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

    5.       Must possess good organizational skills

    6.       Ability to speak publicly and to present information on Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault to diverse people and organizations.

    7.       Ability to respond supportively to persons in crisis and assemble relevant facts

    8.       Must have knowledge of and interest in women’s issues; particularly the dynamics of domestic violence, stalking and sexual assault.

    9.       Ability to complete multiple duties and tasks correctly and on time without being prompted.

    10.   Ability to use Information Technology, including the Internet, social media, and Microsoft Office Suite products.

    11.  Ability to learn and use program specific computer applications.

    Additional Information

    SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

    1.       Negative TB Test result upon hire with follow-up TB tests as required by The Avenue policy.

    2.       Pass a pre-Employment Drug and Alcohol Screen.

    3.       Undergo a background check with no recent felony convictions and no abuse/neglect convictions.

    4.       Valid Michigan Driver’s License, automobile insurance and dependable transportation.

    5.       Undergo a Central Registry background check for absence of child/elder abuse registration.

    6.       Is not listed on the Office of Inspector General Exclusion list.

    7.       Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings, weekends and holidays, as necessary.

    THIS IS A FULL-TIME POSITION.  The annual salary is $29,000.00
