JOB DESCRIPTION
The Retail Territory Sales Representative, under the direction of the National Sales Manager, will be responsible for driving special order sales through retail stores. This position is responsible for providing leadership in the areas of market intelligence, forecasting, and sales while working with the National Sales Manager to establish long-range goals, strategies and plans. The position maintains sales programs within assigned territory by keeping customers informed about available services, supplies, prices and new products. The Retail Territory Sales Representative will also monitor competitive activity and trends within the territory and will keep records in Sales Force and prepare reports on sales activities. The incumbent will display a commitment to Azek’s Core Values.
TERRITORY FOR THIS POSITION WILL BE NEW YORK STATE EXCLUDING LONG ISLAND.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Builds and establishes relationships at many retail levels, to include retail Regional Vice-Presidents, Regional Merchandise Managers, District Managers and Store Managers
· Establishes financial goals and strategic direction that will grow the retail channel within the territory to higher levels of profitability
· Effectively communicates with and educates Distributor Outside Sales representatives, New Retail representatives to increase sales, including teaching retail store associates how to special-order AZEK Building Products in-person and/or over the phone
· Continually develops the expanded offering of special orders at the retail level
· Acts as a liaison for sales and service issues within assigned territory
· Delivers product knowledge seminars to appropriate store associates
· Drives sales to meet quarterly/annual revenue goals
· Performs onsite product demonstrations in the stores to communicate the value of the product
· Performs onsite visits with customers to verify customer satisfaction, solidify renewals, ask for referrals and drive up-sell opportunities
· Helps to maintain special-order deck displays in retail stores within assigned region
· Ensures all literature and materials are maintained and updated
· Investigates and evaluates warranty claims in the field, sending data and information to Warranty department, if necessary
· Contributes to the development of the annual sales plan in support of organizational strategy and objectives
· Additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision/management
SKILLS & ABILITIES
EDUCATION:
· Bachelor's Degree preferred or Work Equivalent, Field of Study: Business Administration or related field
EXPERIENCE:
· Five to seven years in a similar sales management position in retail channel; Direct experience with home centers preferred; Proficient knowledge of retail special-order systems
COMPUTER SKILLS:
· Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook
TRAVEL: MUST BE ABLE TO TRAVEL UP TO 75%.
