If you or know anyone who is interested, please Apply TODAY!! * · Woodbury, NY * · 5 days in the office * · $55K - will take 1 year of experience in accounting Basic Function: The Staff Accountant has overall responsibility for the account analysis and bank reconciliations in a multi-currency, multi-company environment. Responsibilities also include the preparation of journal entries, assisting in the monthly close, as well as assisting with the internal and year-end audit. Responsibilities: * Analyze, monitor and maintain general ledgers. * Assist outside auditors by providing supporting data and explanation of procedures when requested. * Prepare general ledger account analysis and bank reconciliations utilizing accounting software and PC spreadsheets. * · Investigate and clear all open items internally and with bank personnel. * Prepare monthly closing entries and other journal entries to record, reclass, and correct accounting transactions. Required Experience and Education: * The successful candidate should have a minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting. * Bachelor's degree in accounting.
