    This role will work from our Minnetonka Office Location.

    We are currently seeking an entry-level Financial Planning Analyst to join our team. No prior financial planning experience is required.

    The ideal candidate will be excited to work with the advisors on the team to create exquisite financial plans for clients of the firm and provide tremendous value in the preparation of meetings. This is not an advisor/client-facing role - we are in need of someone who wants to pursue the paraplanner role as a career in itself.

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Learn the eMoney financial planning software with support and training from the advisors in the Minnesota office of The Bahnsen Group
    • Work to obtain Certified Financial Planning ® certification
    • Stay up to date with communications coming out of The Bahnsen Group
    • Assist advisors with:
      • Building base cases for new clients
      • Building advanced planning scenarios for new/existing clients
      • Walk advisor through plans to prepare for presentation
      • Client meeting preparation
      • To be a Research Analyst on tax and other financial planning topics
    • Stay up to date on the changing world of financial planning
    • Know the ins and outs of client benefits packages
    • Assist in the creation of compensation and forfeit value studies for clients considering new job opportunities
    • Reach out to clients when additional information is required to complete a financial plan
    • Know the ins and outs of The Bahnsen Group investment portfolios
    • Occasionally correspond with individuals on the benefits teams of our clients' employer companies

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Desire to explore a career in Financial Planning
    • BA/BS College Graduate or beyond
    • Mastery of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
    • Mastery of both written and spoken English language
