    The Role:

    Our Machine Operator, Painter sets up and operates automatic or manual production machines and equipment, such as brakes, rolls, shears, saws, and presses, to cut, bend, straighten, and form metal plates, sheets, and structural shapes according to blueprints and specifications.

    Responsibilities:

    • Reads and interprets blueprints, engineering specifications, and shop orders to determine machine setup, production methods, and sequence of operation.
    • Selects, positions, and secures dies, blades, cutters, and fixtures onto machine, using rule, square, shims, templates, hand tools, and built-in gauges.
    • Positions and clamps stop, guides, and turntables; adjusts controls to set and regulate machining factors, such as pressure, adjustment rolls, blade angle, and machine speed.
    • Locates and marks bending or cutting lines and reference points on work piece, using instruments, such as rule and compass, or by tracing from templates.
    • Positions work piece against stops and guides or aligns layout marks with dies or cutting blades.
    • Observe machine operations to reposition work piece, change dies, or adjust machine settings for multiple or successive passes; inspects or measures work, using rule, gauges, and templates.
    • Observe machine operations, material supplies, and position of work pieces to detect malfunctions, needed supplies, or misaligned parts.
    • Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines as scheduled and required for TPM.

    Required Skills

    Required Experience

    • At least one year of experience with production processes, machines, and/or tools.
    • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
    • Proven working experience adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, proportions, and decimals.
    • Proven experience understanding various measuring devices in meeting drawing dimensions and specifications.
    • Proven working experience analyzing documents such as blueprints, work orders, work instructions, diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    AS A MEMBER OF OUR TEAM, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO:

    • Prepare food orders in a timely manner in a fast paced environment
    • Assist with merchandise purchases in a fast paced environment
    • Organize food stations and retail shop according to Ripken Experience expectations
    • Operate a POS system
    • Receive and store all food and beverage inventory according to the First In, First Out method
    • Complete daily and monthly inventory of all food, beverage, and retail items as well as rotating stock
    • Manage and maintain daily cost of sales, cash control and inventory
    • Work in either our retail shop or one of our satellite concession stands
    • Ensure compliance with Dept of Labor, DHEC and OSHA standards
    • Maintain a clean, sanitary environment within the kitchen, concession stands, retail shops, etc.
    • Provide Assistant General Manager with feedback, ideas and suggestions on a timely basis
