    Job Description

    The District Sales Manager for Bay Insulation Systems travels throughout the geographic area of Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota. This position will contact contractors, insulation companies, brokers, manufacturers, and other specifiers of Metal Building Insulation.  In addition, the District Sales Manager will be representing EXPI-DOOR Systems Inc., our specialized metal walk door manufacturer.

    The goal of every District Manager is to maximize district sales and market share by: finding and developing new customers; maintaining and growing current customers; promoting and selling new products and services; managing pricing and expenses; supporting national account programs; developing customers in all sales channels; building personal relationships with influencers in assigned district; promoting Bay Industries image and coordinating customer satisfaction.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Prepares and presents quotes and acquires customer orders daily
    • Handles customer and prospect questions, complaints, & needs
    • Develops, reviews and implements district sales plan
    • Manages internal customer support and order communications
    • Coordinates customer requirements with plants, program accounts, BIS, door, credit, accounting, and management.
    • Communicates (internally) district competitive situation
    • Complete ongoing product, selling, and leadership education
    • Promotes Bay Insulation Systems and our products throughout the district
    • Generate new customers and new sales
    • Creating and maintaining a database of prospect clients
    • Continue to build current customer relationships
    • Manages expenses and effective time & territory travel plan
    • Ability to travel overnight and work a flexible schedule

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • 4 or more years of sales experience required
    • Construction related sales experience required
    • Metal Building construction knowledge and experience a plus
    • A college degree is preferred
