Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW:

 A proposal Specialist works with customers to understand the scope and deliverables required for a project.  Once scope and deliverables are determined, a proposal specialist leverages a combination of their knowledge & expertise as well as internal CBT knowledge and expertise to develop a cost estimate and proposal for the scope and deliverables. 

A proposal specialist will also work with third parties who are included as part of our solution delivery to get a proposal for their scope of work and incorporate the third party scope and pricing into our proposal.

A proposal specialist works closely with CBT account managers to present proposed solution to a customer.

 None

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 ·         Work with customers to understand the scope and deliverables expected for a project

·         Work with other CBT specialists and partners to develop a cost estimate and proposal

·         Meet with CBT account managers and customers to review the proposed solution and gain acceptance

·         Maintain competency in the application of new technology

·         Develop a trusting relationship with customers, account managers and partners in delivery ecosystem

·         Following CBT’s processes and procedures

·         Providing continuous improvement recommendations to increase efficiency

EXPERIENCE:

·         10+ years executing automation projects (Strong Rockwell Automation experience required)

·         Prior estimating and proposal experience is required

·         Broad range of project implementation & design experience desirable (PLC, HMI, Motion, Industrial Networking, Robotics, Control System Design, Panel Design)

EDUCATION:

·         Undergraduate degree in technology or engineering desired

·         Proficient in with MSOffice tools (MS Office, Word, Excel)
