    HOW YOUR ROLE FITS INTO BOLDT:

    In this role, you will provide overall thought leadership, management, and direction for multiple and various projects. You will report to the on-site Sr. Project Manager, Project Executive or operational leadership depending on the project(s). This role makes key decisions that can greatly impact relationship with clients and profitability of the projects. You will serve as the primary team leader and manager to develop and implement the project’s project delivery system in collaboration with other Boldt team members, trade contractors, customer representatives and other key project partners, under the guidance and mentorship of his or her direct Boldt supervisor.

    • SAFETY: Lead the establishment and implementation of project specific safety goals, programs, and individual expectations, based upon company-developed standards and expectations. Oversee and assure team aligns with safety strategy and protocols.
    • PEOPLE: Partner with the on-site and operational leadership to develop project staffing plans. Coach and mentor junior staff, as well as representatives of trade contractors, design professionals. Support a learning, continuous improvement culture, including “Small Wins” program. Provide supervision to Boldt direct reports including participation in appraisal and goal review process. Maintain and deepen customer relationship through performance.
    • QUALITY: Lead and implement Built in Quality (“BiQ”) Program, including the development of project specific quality goals, programs, and individual expectations, based upon company developed Built in Quality standards and expectations. Oversee and assure team conformance with BiQ Program.
    • SCHEDULE: Manage the Boldt Production System Program, including the development of project specific quality goals, programs, and individual expectations, based upon company-developed standards and expectations. Oversee and assure development and updating of Milestone Schedule based upon team input. Review project timeline/metrics and develop counter-measure action plans to adjust performance, as needed.
    • COST: Lead or support the financial reporting for the project(s), including the development of project specific financial goals, programs, and individual expectations, based upon company-developed standards and expectations. Oversee and assure team conformance with company expectations for procurement, contracting, risk management, change management, and financial reporting and forecasting.
    • Provide timely and accurate reporting to management, including weekly reporting and monthly Project Execution Assessments.

    Required Experience

    What we expect from you:

    • Four-year engineering degree or equivalent
    • Demonstrated extensive (seven or more years) experience/knowledge of construction, design, finance, and management.
    • Demonstrated success to build cohesive partnerships and teams, innovative and has effective management techniques to maximize employee, team performance, and operational excellence.
    • Experience with Lean Project Delivery and Integrated Project Delivery preferred – but not required. Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, and their impact on project activities vital; superior communication and social skills (tact, subtlety, influence, etc.) essential.
    • Ability and willingness to travel as needed.

    Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to position objects and operate tools or controls. Employee frequently uses computer keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to position self to maneuver in confined or awkward spaces. The employee regularly is required to remain in a stationary position and move to access people or machinery or workspaces. Employee is occasionally required to ascend and/or descend a ladder or stairs to reach work areas. The employee must regularly move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds. The employee is regularly required to travel (as vehicle driver and as passenger on various modes of transportation) and frequently performs work on-site at construction work sites. Specific abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Employee views computer monitor frequently. The employee is required to be able to optimally communicate while on the job site and throughout the completion of duties.

    The working conditions of this position requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Frequently required to use personal protective equipment to maintain safety and prevent exposure to harmful materials. The environment for which this position functions may be exposed to prolonged loud noises and may contain scents and fragrances. May be requested to work overtime and weekends.
