    HOW YOUR ROLE FITS INTO BOLDT:

    This forward thinking results oriented role will provide direct daily leadership and management for modular projects executed by Self-Perform group. Work closely with senior leadership to pursue identified self-perform opportunities and plan and execute delivery of these projects once secured. Continuously identify, develop, and drive enhancements of self-perform delivery to ensure innovation, effective delivery, and output, while being focused on developing and growing our people and business.

    • Manage daily project management of all work activities required to deliver modular projects assigned.
    • Assist Senior Leadership and Business development to identify projects with modular opportunities.
    • Develop and maintain client relationships with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
    • Assist in assembling teams (as required) and lead delivery of project pursuits and execution.
    • Support estimating and purchasing tasks as required. Work in concert with Business Unit Estimating and Purchasing Departments.
    • Support development of and lead execution of the long- and short-term strategic plans for maintaining and developing qualified modular staff.
    • Support creation of profit plans to ensure modular projects meet project earnings goal; provide clear and timely communication of profit plan with project team to ensure clear understanding of profit expectations; and consistently communicate actual project profit performance to business unit leadership.
    • Deliver accurate tracking and forecasting reports of all costs on each project assigned. Engage project and field staff regularly to ensure accuracy and consistency with overall project budget and reporting.
    • Provide leadership in investigating and resolving any issues onsite and engage project staff, subcontractors, vendors, owners in such issues as appropriate to come to resolution.
    • Other duties, responsibilities, or activities may be assigned at any time.

     

    Required Experience

    WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

    REQUIRED:

    Four-year Engineering degree or equivalent, plus 5 - proven experience/knowledge of construction, design, finance, and management required. Proven ability to apply innovation and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance. Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities vital; superior communication and interpersonal skills essential.

    PREFERRED:

    Direct management of Modular, lump-sum operational delivery. Project Profit and Loss accountability. Experience delivering work in multiple different operational geographies/markets and union trade.

    This role involves travel up to 25% of the time, including overnight travel.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to position objects and operate tools or controls. Employee frequently uses computer keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to position self to maneuver in confined or awkward spaces. The employee regularly is required to remain in a stationary position and move to access people or machinery or workspaces. Employee is occasionally required to ascend and/or descend a ladder or stairs to reach work areas. The employee must regularly move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds. The employee is regularly required to travel (as vehicle driver and as passenger on various modes of transportation) and frequently performs work on-site at construction work sites. Specific abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Employee views computer monitor frequently. The employee is required to be able to optimally communicate while on the job site and throughout the completion of duties.

    The working conditions of this position requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Frequently required to use personal protective equipment to maintain safety and prevent exposure to harmful materials. The environment for which this position functions may be exposed to prolonged loud noises and may contain scents and fragrances. May be requested to work overtime and weekends.
