    The Bolton Law Firm guides clients through divorce and towards a better life. Our law firm is growing and we are looking for an associate attorney with experience in family law. Minimum of three years experience required. We are seeking someone who loves practicing family law and who looks forward to guiding clients through a difficult personal crisis and onto a more secure future. You must enjoy working with people and be able to feel and express empathy towards our clients while projecting strength and confidence while negotiating with opposing counsel or conducting hearings. The right candidate will assist our clients in avoiding unnecessary squabbles that inflame the situation without benefitting the parties or their children. You will be fully supported by paralegals and assistants, and have experienced family law attorneys to mentor you, and you develop additional expertise in family law. You’ll assist individuals in a variety of situations such as navigating prenuptial agreements and attending court hearings for divorce, alimony/spousal support, and child support. If you are passionate about helping people navigate some of the most difficult challenges they may face in their lives, start your application today Responsibilities: Represent clients in court proceedings as needed Create legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgements and orders for a high volume of cases Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation and forming a strategy for a plan of action Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed Work closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation process Qualifications: 4-year degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are necessary for this position Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations • A minimum of three years experience in Texas family law. • We represent great parents. You must be equally comfortable advocating for custody for a man or a woman. • Must be comfortable representing parties in CPS cases. Compensation: $80,000 - $110,000 yearly
