The Boring Company was founded to solve the problem of soul-destroying traffic by creating an underground network of tunnels. Today, we are creating the technology to increase tunneling speed and decrease costs by a factor of 10 or more with the ultimate goal of making Hyperloop adoption viable and enabling rapid transit across densely populated regions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Processing and interpreting geotechnical information.
• Perform basic geotechnical analysis and tests.
• Assist with document collection from municipal governments. 
• Review as-built drawings and digitize relevant information into CAD.
• Performed basic structural calculation, analysis and design tasks.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree, coursework or experience in geotechnical or structural engineering.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in AutoCAD and/or SAP2000. 
• Ability to work in a team environment. 
• Ability to read and analyze geotechnical reports. 
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Strong problem solving, deductive reasoning, and communication skills
• Acute attention to detail
