    A personal injury firm (WWW.BUCKEYELAWGROUP.COM) located throughout the state of Ohio and operates out of south Florida, initially with offices in Cleveland and Columbus. Ownership includes Gregory E. Gudin, Eric Pintaluga, Howard Kanner, and Todd Landau. Kanner and Pintaluga, P.A., (WWW.KPATTORNEY.COM) is our sister firm (they are both shareholders in Landau & Associates, P.A., (WWW.PIP-LAWYERS.COM). Combined we have over 700 employees with offices in 11 states.

As a personal injury firm, we specialize in many areas including vehicular, bicycle, and boating accidents; property and hurricane damage; workers compensation, slip and falls and medical injuries; dog bites; and wrongful deaths. This position is primarily responsible for the management of all aspects of personal injury cases from inception through close of the case.

    • We are looking for Entry-Level Attorneys who have already passed the Ohio State Bar Exam.
    • 2-5+ Years of Litigation Experience - Preferably PI or Workers Comp
    • All candidates must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Exercise a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism
    • Medical case review.
    • Negotiating and settling cases in the pre-litigation stage.
    • Review policies, claims and other records.
    • Prepare, write, and argue legal documents, including but not limited to memos, theory of liability and demands.
    • Communicate with insurance companies and make sure client medical treatment is managed and billed accordingly.
    • Communicate with client to provide case status update.
    • Conduct intake meetings with new clients.
    • Manage docket of cases according to office policy.
    • Conduct and attend IME's, EUO's and recorded statements.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Must be a current Ohio State Bar Member in good standing.

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    • A basic understanding of personal injury law.
    • Strong negotiation, communication and writing skills.
    • Intermediate to advanced-level computer and general office skills; strong interpersonal skills
    • Ability to effectively communicate through both verbal and written electronic correspondence
    • Demonstrate an ability to analyze corrective action opportunities and present recommendations
    • Analytical skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to work independently
