Burnham Law’s Civil Litigation Division is seeking to hire a litigation associate. While this posting is listed in Boulder, this position is not necessarily limited to our office in Boulder. We also have offices in Colorado Springs, Greenwood Village, Cherry Creek, and Fort Collins that we could potentially place a new associate.

The civil litigation associate position is one with a lot of room for growth as our practice group is expanding quickly. You will get hands-on experience right away by taking on real responsibilities and managing cases (with supervision) from start to finish. This is a great opportunity to gain practical responsibilities quickly.

We are looking for someone who has excellent research, analytical, and writing abilities. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, can prioritize various projects, is able to multi-task, takes ownership of his/her work, is a fast learner, is highly organized, and is detail oriented. We need someone who can work with minimal supervision but who wants to learn the practice of law and unflinchingly welcomes feedback. We are looking for a candidate who can work efficiently both independently and as part of a team, who has strong interpersonal skills, and who has a sense of humor. We also need someone who genuinely cares about the quality of their work, wants to grow with the firm, and wants to help build the civil litigation practice.

The right candidate will value an energetic, collegial, and easygoing work environment. We believe it is important for our associates to maintain a work-life balance, which is reflected in the firm’s reasonable billable hour requirement. That being said, we expect high quality work. We pride ourselves on the talent of our team and the quality of our work, and we are uncompromising in this regard. The ideal candidate will have at least 1–3 years civil litigation experience. Clerkship experience preferred, but not required.
