UX DESIGNER

The UX Designer bridges the gaps between user experience and visual design to deliver a functionally strong, aesthetically pleasing, and seamless end-user experience for the sites and products created by The C2 Group. The UX Designer has the skill not only to create high quality graphics, but the ability to apply their creations to a user-centered design. The role works closely with project managers, business analysts, developers, quality assurance analysts, and the client to bring the goals and objectives of our projects to life for the betterment of the end user's experience. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

DESIGN OF APPLICATIONS AND WEBSITES 

• Synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data to derive personas, use cases, concepts, user journeys, and information architecture. 
• Generate creative concepts and ideas, apply them to interactive experiences and communicate them effectively through words and images. 
• Translate the requirements and objectives of strategic research into intuitive user stories. 
• Express creative concepts through visually attractive designs that achieve functional specifications, communication objectives and promote use experience satisfaction. 
• Visualize the user journey from start to finish and ensure its articulation through experience design. 
• Evaluate the effectiveness of new and existing UX elements by incorporating user feedback, and best practices in order to continuously evolve and improve designs.

SUPPORT CLIENT DISCOVERIES 

• Contribute to the initial brainstorming and project planning processes, focused on user experience and the visual design process, and provide insight and creative ideas that align with client business goals and communication objectives. 
• Support the preparation and execution of key client facing meetings, specifically the project Discovery session.   
• Collaborate on wireframes (including appropriate responsive states) and other prototypes.

SUPPORT UX RESEARCH DESIGN PROCESS 

• Follow industry best practices for UX design and processes, gathering sufficient information to support appropriate recommendation for any given platform or technology.

CREATE CLIENT DESIGN DELIVERABLES 

• Conduct usability tests on all projects to ensure that we succeed in creating a usable experience. 
• Assist or lead the implementation of the highest level of user experience and design throughout all the pages of the website. 
• Ensure that, from inception through approval, all design related client reviews consistently reflect the highest standards of excellence in execution and production. 
• Develop and continuously improve usability test criteria to guide product acceptance.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Three (3) to four (4) years of experience in graphic design or user experience design in the IT/technology field. 
• Bachelor's degree specializing in graphic design or user experience design or equivalent work experience. 
• Prior experience working in a collaborative environment with user experience designers, front-end developers, back-end developers, and project managers. 
• Experience with responsive web site design standards and requirements. 
• Expert knowledge in Sketch and Adobe Creative Suite. 
• Portfolio representing forward thinking in web or application design.
