BUSINESS DATA ANALYST

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Business Data Analyst will work with cross-functional team members to identify and prioritize actionable, high-impact insights across a variety of core program/project performance areas for our customers in the Energy sector. Responsibilities will include research, design, implement and validate algorithms to analyze diverse sources of data to achieve targeted outcomes. S/he will assist in developing analytics tools and processes, streamlining information flow and reporting processes/platforms, processing data into business insights by interpreting data into meaningful reports and performing statistical analysis, and modeling processes using Operations Research and Simulation concepts to develop data driven optimal solutions.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

• 0 to 5 years of experience.
• Experience with business applications/tool development and data processes using database applications such as Microsoft Access and SQL.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and its advanced data and optimization packages.
• Experience with Optimization software (Excel Solver, Groubi, GAMS, or similar).
• Experience with Statistical Analysis software (R, Python, Minitab, or similar)
• Strong language and communication skills.

EDUCATION:

M.S. in Industrial Engineering, or a relevant major with strong background in Operations Research, Simulation, Statistical Analysis, System Modeling, Financial Analysis, Mathematical Modeling, Data Analytics and Processing is required.
