    The CSI Companies is hiring a nurse with chart review experience for a full time, REMOTE abstraction position to join our team for our Fortune 100 healthcare client.  THIS JOB CAN BE WORKED FROM ANYWHERE IN THE US AS LONG AS YOU HAVE HIGH SPEED INTERNET AND A DISTRACTION-FREE HOME OFFICE AREA.

    PAY: $24-31 an hour (overtime will be paid at 1.5 times the normal hourly pay rate).

     

    HOURS: Full Time - Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM Central during 4 weeks of training (slightly flexible on the start time after training as long as you work during the hours of 6am-6pm Central).

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Abstractor will abstract clinical data from medical records. The role performs ongoing analysis of charts for the appropriate review compliance and researches and resolves assigned abstraction projects to drive other teams work on provider education on behalf of the insurance plan.

    • Performs the basic functions of the abstraction position including ongoing analysis of medical record charts for the appropriate NCQA compliance.
    • The Abstractor will follow and monitor regulatory changes as they pertain to HEDIS reviews and NCQA guidelines.

     

    STATUS: CONSULTANT: Starting off as a consultant/contractor there is always potential for long term / conversion for the right employee upon business needs. Almost all of the positions within this client start off as a contractor due to being a Fortune 100 company. Upon going permanent you would be eligible for outstanding benefits, 4 weeks of PTO, extremely low full coverage medical coverage, and much more! When you covert, this could very likely be eligible for pay increase as well.

     

    EFFECTIVE DATE / TENTATIVE START DATE: Interviewing Immediately

     

     

    JOB DUTIES:

    •           Meet and maintain production and quality expectations for all assigned measures

    •           Perform daily responsibilities with acute attention to detail.

    •           Transitions between priorities and abstraction projects based on program or client needs.

    •           Uses Independent judgment to complete abstraction and review of medical records following program guidelines.

    •           Responsible for managing and utilizing confidential information from medical records in an appropriate manner following designated guidelines including HIPAA and company policies/guidelines.

    •           Applies HEDIS concepts and principles in the completion of abstraction and review process to ensure full recognition of delivered care for the benefit of the member.

    •           Knowledge of medical record abstraction, clinical reviews and regulatory requirements.

     

    REQUIREMENTS

    • 1 year of Medical chart reviewing, medical records reviewing, or chart abstraction experience
    • Experience in a work environment where you were held to productivity and/or quality goals.
    • Active nursing license is required LPN, LVN, or RN (any state)
    • Technically savvy
    • High speed internet with good service available at your home and capability to hard wire into a modem/router with ethernet.
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Ability to pass a background check and drug test
    • Private, quiet, and distraction-free workspace in a room with a closed-door

    HIGHLY PREFERRED

    • Proficient in use of MS Excel
    • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook on a daily basis.
    • Knowledge of STARS measures
    • Ability to work in a web-based application
    • Knowledge of HEDIS concepts and principles.
