TITLE OF JOB: HEALTHCARE CUSTOMER SERVICE SPECIALIST

THE OPPORTUNITY: The CSI Companies are hiring a HEALTHCARE CUSTOMER SERVICE SPECIALIST for one of our Fortune 500 healthcare clients in ONTARIO, CA. PAY: $14-16 an hour depending on experience

SCHEDULE / HOURS: M-F 8am - 4:30pm or 8:30am -5pm

STATUS: Full Time

Starting off as a contract position with potential to go permanent in the long run for top performers

LOCATION: Ontario, CA 91764

EFFECTIVE DATE / TENTATIVE START DATE: Interviewing Immediately

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Receive and record customer concerns via phone. Acts to resolve concerns in accordance for corporate guidelines and standards for all areas of claims, authorizations and IPA functionality.
• Ability to interpret provider and health plan contracts to ensure accurate responses to calls
• Ability to interpret provider and health plan contracts to ensure accurate responses to calls
• Foster interpersonal relationships, showing empathy and understanding towards staff, protecting individual self-esteem.
• Any other assigned duties as delegated by the Customer Service Supervisor

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DO I NEED TO HAVE?

• Previous experience with Medicare or HMOs
• Previous experience as a customer service representative
• Ability to read provider and health plan contracts
• PC proficient in a windows environment to include Microsoft word, Outlook and Excel
• Excellent grammar and communication skills
