POSITION SUMMARY
As a bartender, you will be responsible for providing customers with an exceptional drinking and dining experience. Duties will include preparing drink orders for the restaurant, serving patrons seated at the bar, monitoring the cash drawer and helping to maintain proper alcohol inventory levels.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Responsible for setup, maintenance and operation of the bar
· Work as a team with all Restaurant personnel in order to maintain an effective atmosphere and an efficient food and beverage service
· Serves wine and bottled or draught beer as well as prepare garnishes, mix alcoholic cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks for patrons of bar and dining room following standard recipes
· Ring drink/food orders into POS system immediately, collect money from guests for drinks served and make change
· Arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in agreement with Restaurant standards
· Work with others to keep all areas cleaned and stocked to Restaurant standards at all times.
· Wash and sterilize stemware
· Maintain inventory and bar supplies
· Other duties as directed
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· Responsible service of alcohol. Should a guest reach the state you do not feel they should drive, offer a taxi service, Uber, etc. Do not hesitate to ask for management intervention if necessary.
