    General Manager Job Description

    I. Key job tasks of general manager job description

    1. Planning & Administration

    Provide leadership to the organization by assisting the business owner and directing the management team with the development of short term plans that support long range and annual strategic plans. Evaluate and report progress on implementation of these plans.

    1. HR Management

    Employee development and training, hiring and terminations;

    Manage healthcare and employee benefit programs

    Policy development and implementation;

    Formally document job descriptions and implement employee performance reviews for every job;

    Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly Meetings –preparing agendas, document accomplishments, plans in process, milestones, new objectives, etc.

    1. Operations Management:

    Coordinate and monitor the work of all employees.

    Monitor performance and implement improvements.

    Ensure quality of service provided.

    Manage quality and efficiency of all employees.

    Provide training and support.

    Manage maintenance of a 30 car fleet. Manage daily challenges such as flat tires, dead batteries accidents, etc..

    Managing the key system for the clients’ homes

    Manage customer breakage and property damage resolution

    Understand and master the logistics of scheduling and be able to make changes throughout the day to ensure customers are getting cleaning teams to their homes at appropriate times.

    1. Customer Service, Sales, and Marketing:

    Oversee all phone and electronic communications with customer base

    Follow up with all customer requests and all related customer service issues

    Manage customer support from initial sales contact through duration of service

    Manage marketing and sales efforts

    1. Financial Management

    Maintain and or improve profits margins;

    Report to owner monthly on deviations from the financial budget.

    1. Administrative Management

    Maintain general oversight and insure A/R, A/P, Inventories are correct;

    Address IT/Phone/Tablet/Camera issues as they arise;

    Research new tools and equipment as necessary to accommodate growth.

    II. Qualifications

    A minimum of five years of experience in management, planning and financial oversight.

    A minimum of five years of experience in personnel management, including hiring, supervision, and evaluation.

    College graduate or equivalent experience.

    Proven skills in business leadership and financial management.

    Demonstrated ability to work in a proactively diverse and inclusive organization.

    Excellent, proven interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.

    Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise a staff team.

    Effective problem solving and mediation skills.

    Demonstrated ability to share skills and knowledge with others.

    Proficiency with office computer equipment and software.

    Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced office setting.

    Proven ability to cope with conflict, stress and crisis situations.

    Bilingual in English and Spanish is a strong plus.

    III. Compensation and benefits
