  • Responsibilities

    We are looking for a food expeditor. One who has experience inspecting dishes for visual appeal and to ensure that food is properly prepared and served at the proper temperature in a timely fashion. The expeditor will report to the head chef and is the link between the kitchen and the dining room and bar. The right individual will be available to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, nights and weekends.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Maintain Verbal Communications calling out orders to chefs, checks on the status of dishes, and calls for waitstaff when food order is ready to serve.

    2. Keep Staff Well Informed alert when the kitchen is out of a specific ingredient and relay special food requests from the waitstaff to the kitchen.

    3. Monitor Portion Control responsible for the food portions of finished dishes, ensuring they adhere to restaurant standards.

    4. Meet Presentation Standards inspect every plate to make sure the proper garnishes have been applied and that dishes are free of smudges and spills before being delivered to the customer.

    5. Cleanliness keeping their work areas clean, presentable and well stocked.

    6. Address Customer Complaints serve as a face for the kitchen staff, addressing customer complaints and finding solutions that will satisfy customers.

    7. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

    3. Strong team-building skills including the ability to lead, cooperate, and motivate.
