    Our law group is growing and we are looking for a sharp family attorney who will zealously represent our clients in all areas of family law. You’ll assist individuals in a variety of situations such as navigating prenuptial agreements and attending court hearings for divorce, alimony/spousal support, and child support. The prime candidate will have experience with a range of sensitive legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence, and be able to maintain composure, negotiate, and argue effectively even in emotional and high-stress situations. If you are passionate about helping people navigate some of the most difficult challenges they may face in their lives, start your application today Responsibilities: Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current Work closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation process Manage the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings when needed Attend court proceedings as needed to represent clients Create legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgements and orders for a high volume of cases • Work closely with paralegals and Managing Attorney to ensure swift action through the civil litigation process Qualifications: Strong knowledge base of representing plaintiffs and defendants Prior work or studies in criminal justice preferred Bachelor’s degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are required Candidates should be great negotiators and communicators, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are high Active membership with the ABA (American Bar Association) • Must be admitted to practice law in New York State and in good standing with the bar Compensation: $60,000 - $90,000 yearly
