    Job Description

    the community is seeking a Studio Manager/Designer to join their Miami Office and run our Creative Design Studio. This role will start remote then be located in our Miami or NY office. Our Design Studio Manager is a hands on position not only managing the work of our talented design team, but also being a hands on Designer for new business, presentations and existing clients. We look for someone who will motivate their team to on time delivery including diving in to help. 

     

    The role is responsible for providing overall leadership for the daily operations of the Creative Design Studio. This includes managing designers time, discussing delegating projects with Head of Art and Design, and managing communication to team leads out of the studio for turn around times. Our studio’s project range throughout integrated assets including Print, OOH, Digital, Social, Emails, and Presentations.  

     

    We look to our Design Studio Manager to advocate for their team, give them ample support to complete their assignments on time and ensure its up to our standards. This role will be responsible for working with Creative Resources and Talent to hire additional freelance talent as needed. Overall, we hope this person will be passionate to drive us forward and help make our creative process to delivery as smooth as possible. 

     

    Management Responsibilities: 

    • Work with Creative Studio Designers/Head of Art and Design to ensure the quality and integrity of work stays at a high level. 

    • Manage the intake of  workload for the Design team.

    • Communicate and manage project expectations with creative departments.

    • Support the Creative teams in ensuring that all deadlines are met across all lines of business.

    • Act as a communication link between the Studio and Creative, Account, and Production.

    • Conduct daily evaluation of workload balance and assignments.

    • Integrate offline and online studio work.

    • Help grow and drive the efficiency of the department through training and technology.

    • Recommend measures to improve work process methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. 

    • Manage projects scopes, timelines and budgets for studio projects. 

    • Liaise with Talent and Creative Resource Management on the hiring and managing freelance talent.

    • Build trusting and collaborative relationships with account managers, art directors,

     

     producers, and account teams assigned to a brand. 

     

    Production Design Responsibilities: 

    • Design and maintain new business presentations and company templates. Seamlessly working in Google Slides, Keynote, Power Point, and other design programs. 

    • Complete layout/design work from rough draft to finished product; formats InDesign,

     

    Photoshop, Illustrator or sketched comps into desired end-product application. 

    • Establish and adhere to style guides, standards, specifications and rights management for all agency work, including photography, graphics, typography, color, sizing, spacing, templates, illustration, storyboarding, iconography, etc.

     

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    - 7+ years Studio Management + Design Experience with a minimum of 3+ years in a Manager position.

    - Experience within a Creative Advertising Agency. 

    - Expert Knowledge in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator.

    - Presentation Design skills in PowerPoint, Keynote and Google Slides.

    - Experience in Basecamp or other Project Management softwares a plus. 

    - Seasoned experience managing multiple concurrent projects and tight deadlines.

    - Meticulous attention to detail and driving creative criteria. 

    - Fluent written and oral communication skills in English. 

    - Spanish language skills a plus but not required.

    - Skills in AfterEffects & HTML5 are a nice addition.
