    Job Title: Marketing Coordinator
    Salary Range : $52,000 - $55,000
    Reports to: Director of Communications and Marketing

    **** MISSION: For more than 50 years, the Conservancy of Southwest Florida has been a leading environmental advocacy organization dedicated to protecting Southwest Florida's water, land, wildlife, and future.

    **** PURPOSE OF JOB: The Marketing Coordinator supports the Communications and Marketing team, developing strategies for engaging the community through digital and print platforms and promoting the Conservancy's mission of preserving southwest Florida's water, land, wildlife, and future. This individual will establish strong relationships internally and externally, fostering community connections to encourage engagement and participation in Conservancy activities.

    ** ** RESPONSIBILITIES:**
    Content Creation and Brand Management:**
    • Prepare special presentations for the President and assist with material for board meetings and speaking engagements.
    • Ensure consistent use of the Conservancy brand in digital and printed materials.
    • Coordinate with departments for cultivating and developing collateral, including marketing materials, statistics, and annual reports.
    • Assist with writing press releases, social media updates, proofreading, and creating multimedia content.
    Community Engagement and Outreach:
    • Develop and implement programs and content to build awareness of the Conservancy's mission and brand.
    • Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to support marketing, communications, and community outreach efforts.
    • Collaborate with the Communications and Marketing team to enhance engagement and revenue-generating offerings.
    • Support membership growth, increase Nature Center visitation, and promote volunteerism and event attendance.
    • Build strategic relationships and community connections.
    • Develop strategies for engaging the community through digital and print platforms.
    • Assist with Conservancy events and maintain excellent customer service.
    Engagement Tracking and Project Administration:
    • Track key engagement metrics to drive growth in member and donor constituencies.
    • Conduct market research to improve organizational offerings.
    • Manage project administration, including monitoring revenue and expenses and maintaining the multimedia database.
    Media Coordination and Public Relations:
    • Support public relations efforts, including press releases and media on-site.
    • Respond to public inquiries, referring to appropriate departments or the President's office.
    • Coordinate media interviews and occasionally serve as a public representative for the organization.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with 3-5 years of progressively responsible digital and email marketing experience, ideally with a non-profit or conservation organization.
    • Strong public presentation skills.
    • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to take primary responsibility for a diverse number of projects and complete them promptly with limited supervision.
    • Ability to think strategically and anticipate and orchestrate next steps.
    • Excellent computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Blackbaud, and website experience preferred.
    • Superior written and verbal communication skills.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS
    • Valid driver's license and good driving record.

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    The Marketing Coordinator should possess various essential skills and abilities. These include strong written and verbal communication skills, as demonstrated by effectively writing press releases, articles, and social media updates. Attention to detail and proofreading skills are essential for maintaining accuracy in all marketing materials. Proficiency in digital marketing platforms, social media management, and a basic understanding of graphic design principles for creating engaging visual content is necessary. Ability to build and maintain internal and external strategic relationships to foster community engagement. Demonstrating strong project management skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize, are crucial for successfully managing ongoing marketing projects. Proficiency in photo and video content management and utilizing media effectively for storytelling is necessary for this role.
