Marketing/Creative - Communications Associate
Must have worked for AARP previously.
We are seeking an experienced Communications Associate for a 1 year contract with possible extension or chance of going perm with our client in Washington, DC. Will be responsible for writing, editing and coordinating content for communications, including: electronic memos, letters, tele-town halls, and regular newsletters:
* Oversees and coordinates formal speaking requests for the executive vice president.
* Drafts and coordinates content, PowerPoints, talking points, quotes, speeches, headshots.
* Supports social media outreach by overseeing Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn accounts; tracks social media engagements
* Manages communications and public relations submissions, works with the Director of Operations, Communications & Strategy to provide executive level support for all speaking and public engagements.
* Works with media relations and internal communications to coordinate media requests and interviews, and support strategic event communications, as needed.
Prefer someone who is local, but telecommuting will be acceptable.
