  • Responsibilities

    The project manager will support project coordination, stakeholder outreach, product marketing, and research related to Housing Issue Areas and the Livability Index, and other priorities related to Livable Communities within the Public Policy Institute’s Family, Home and Community Team.

    • Responsible for coordinating team member participation in meetings, maintaining written meeting notes, recording decisions, facilitating communication among staff and contractors, and ensuring on-time execution and follow-up of task assignments by leveraging team project management systems (Confluence, Teams, Github).
    • Perform ad-hoc research on livability indicators, trends, and innovations and work with Library on executing literature reviews.
    • Solicit feedback on work products from state and national staff.
    • Coordinate with communications staff and team members to keep website content up-to-date and advise on page design and content to drive engagement.
    • Develop, organize, and maintain a Livable Communities image library, craft social media posts, and evergreen tweets. Develop and execute plan to increase sign-ups of e-alert and newsletter distribution lists.

    The ideal candidate is familiar with community livability and city planning spaces, knows where the conversations about neighborhoods, housing, transportation and aging-in-place are taking place, and is able to promote PPI resources to key audiences via multiple channels, including social media, team webpages, blogs, conferences, and podcasts. Strong project management skills , excellent written and oral communication skills required.
