Position Summary
The Label Manager oversees label releases, including marketing, promotion, publicity, distribution, merchandising, licensing, social media management, and tour planning.
Responsibilities
Artist and Repertoire (A&R): Partner with the CEO to discover, sign, and oversee the development of artists.
Marketing/ promotion: Promoting the artists and releases, whether through traditional advertising, social media, or arranging media coverage such as interviews and television appearances.
Artwork: Designing or overseeing the creation of album covers, insert art, posters, advertising, and any other design work needed in the marketing and promotion of musical products.
Distribution: Liaise with various distribution partners and present them with release information to set releases up for favorable digital and physical distribution.
Reporting and Analytics
Represent the company at designated events.
Qualifications
2 or more years of experience in music management or a related field.
Alignment with the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
Strong project management
Developed administration skills
Strong written and oral communication
Networking
Ability to be in the corporate office physically.
