Role Overview The Digital Media Coordinator is responsible for the strategy, execution and management of marketing and communications content across all platforms, including but not limited to websites, social media, emails, letters, and signage. This position also works with the communications team to create an overall strategy that ensures communication objectives are in alignment with The Cross Church mission to spread God’s fame by making disciples of all people and are accomplished in its fast-paced, high-performance culture. The Digital Media Coordinator reports to the Communications Director.
Job Classification Full-time non-exempt, 40 hours per week with benefits
Schedule Monday through Friday 8 am - 5 pm
Responsibilities and Expectations
Create and execute a centralized and holistic marketing and media strategy, including but not limited to web pages, videos, social media posts, podcasts, devotionals, subject matter articles, mobile applications, emails, and signage.
Solicit information from ministry leaders to plan and execute individualized communication strategies.
Think “big picture” and communicate church messaging in innovative ways.
Research and propose new, cutting-edge marketing in a rapidly changing environment.
Participate in design discussions and give feedback during planning and strategy meetings.
Create and maintain a content calendar.
Assist with lobby displays, including signage and decorations.
Maintain the functionality of integrated platforms and constantly review for security andusability.
Help review, proof, and edit content layout.
Coordinate with outside agencies, ad services and printers as needed.
Manage and organize visual assets including photography, video footage and graphicassets.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending creative workshops andconferences, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professionaldevelopment.
Steward church resources with care, such as furniture, fixtures, equipment, supplies, andother resources.
Attend worship services , staff meetings, department meetings and other meetings asneeded.
Foster a cooperative, healthy, and motivating relationship with staff, volunteers, and church families.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Experience and Critical Skills
Agreement with The Cross Church faith statement and mission to “spread God’s fame by making disciples of all people.”
Committed to biblical Christian principles and teachings both professionally and personally, including but not limited to I Timothy 3:1-7 and I Peter 5:1-4.
Established pattern of Bible study and prayer.
Passionate about excellence in ministry.
College and/or experience in a related field required.
The ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment, manage stress and buildprofessional and collaborative relationships with staff and church members.
Ability to use appropriate judgment in the areas of discretion, sensitivity, andconfidentiality.
Possess strong written, oratory and creative skills.
Relational, selfmotivated, strong work ethic, dependable, reliable and willingness to dowhatever it takes to get the job done.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
Keen eye for detail and editorial/visual design care.
Competency in computer/web-based technology with the capacity to work in Mac and PC platforms as well as learn new applications quickly, including but not limited to:
Microsoft Publisher, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Sharepoint
Graphic applications such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) and Canva
Mailchimp or similar email platform

Wufoo, Typeform, Google Forms
Wordpress or equivalent content management system (CMS)
HTML
Trello, Basecamp, Clickup, or similar project management tools
Photography skills are a plus.
Experience with project management software such as Clickup, Basecamp, or Asana is a plus.
A prayerful, tithing, and participating member of The Cross Church is expected.
Sufficient good health to discharge duties properly.
Passing criminal, financial, and sexual misconduct background checks required.
