JOB SUMMARY
A KidsCrossing Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Kids' Pastor in the leading and managing of volunteers, execution of weekend services and implementation of non-weekend events and activities. The Coordinator will provide weekend leadership and weekday management for specific coaches and volunteers. It's the Coordinator's goal to foster an engaging, fun, safe, and relational environment for both kids and the volunteers serving them. The Coordinator must be a highly relational and flexible person who can manage people as they lead volunteer teams to develop children spiritually through weekends and events. The ideal candidate for this position will have a passion for Jesus Christ, the vision of The Crossing and for reaching and developing children to become fully devoted followers of Christ.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBLITIES
Prepare for and ensure specific coaches and volunteers have everything they need to execute their role during weekend services.
Ensure assigned rooms are appropriately staffed with coaches and volunteers
Ensure assigned rooms are set with the appropriate décor and supplies for the weekend
Ensure all supplies needed for assigned rooms are maintained, purchased and organized.
Ensure assigned rooms have appropriate toys and equipment which are clean and in good working order.
Disseminate communication to coaches and volunteers with any pertinent information regarding the weekend services.
Oversee implementation of programming, if applicable, in assigned rooms.
Ensure volunteers (and staff if necessary) are connecting with parents to provide encouragement and address any behavioral or care concerns.
Give appropriate feedback to coaches and volunteers.
Fill the role of a volunteer during weekend services as needed.
OVERSEE AND MANAGE SPECIFIC COACHES AND VOLUNTEERS AS ASSIGNED BY SUPERVISOR
Actively invite new leaders to the ministry
Regularly train, care for, appreciate and disciple coaches and volunteers.
Mobilize your volunteer team to recruit new members to the team.
Identify key leaders, invest in their growth and commission them to take on new responsibilities.
Be available to respond to crises (hospital visits, funerals, etc.)
