Web Developer ... is responsible for coding websites and applications that are integral to our communication strategies. The ideal candidate will have a passion for using their programming and problem-solving skills in support of ministry initiatives, will have a working knowledge of software planning, implementation, testing, documenting, deployment, maintenance, will be flexible to move between tasks as project priorities shift, and will steward their time and gifts wisely. This position will work closely with our IT, Communications, and Creative teams to ensure correct brand alignment and page functionality on all Crossing web properties.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build Crossing websites and pages consistent with the brand standards of The Crossing to serve the church and its attenders.

• Regularly collaborate with Web Designer and other ministry leaders to deliver digital solutions.

• Setup modules that improve, extend, or solve problems with Rock RMS content management system.

• Implement Search Engine Optimized (SEO) content consistent with overall Crossing communication strategy.

• Research new technologies, platforms, devices, and processes to keep The Crossing on the leading edge of web and application development.

WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor's degree or commensurate

• All relevant skills listed above.

• 5+ years of experience in web development

• PC/Mac operation at an intermediate level, including word processing and spreadsheet ability. Standard software programs utilized: Word, Excel, e-mail, Internet. job experience.

• Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.

• Extremely knowledgeable and experienced with modern web technologies including CSS, HTML, XML, jQuery, Lava, JavaScript, Ajax, and willing to learn future technologies as they become viable.

• Strong SQL Server (2008R2 and later) and tSQL skills.

• Experience with .NET code and using Visual Studio.

• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator).

• Experience prototyping with Figma or Adobe XD.

• Experience with content management systems.

• Motivated to work without direct supervision.

• Strong collaborative abilities in technical and creative environments.

• Ability to work and think iteratively.

• High personal integrity.
