Currently, we are looking for an INSURANCE COLLECTOR.

WHAT YOU WILL DO: The Insurance Collector performs a variety of insurance billing, data entry, and general front office tasks and duties including, but not limited to generating and billing out claims, benefits eligibility verification, and tracing claims and payments.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required

• Knowledge of insurance guidelines including HMO/PPO/Medi-Cal Dental 

• Means to travel from one office to another, required as necessary

• Electronic billing experience preferred

• Strong communication skills

• Ability to organize insurance, HMO, Denti-Cal information, claims, encounters, tracers, etc.

• Ability to work with interruptions  and to manage multiple priorities

• Ability to meet deadlines

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow up on claims within standard billing cycle timeframe
• Appeal denied claims
• Check patient eligibility and benefits for services rendered
• Attend and participate in staff meetings and team huddles
• Participate in committees and special projects as requested
• Comply with Federal and State legislation about all billing related matters 
• Other duties as assigned by the Office Manager, Regional Manager, and/or Leadership team
