    SUMMARY: Creates and disseminates Member communications through mailings, website, newsletters, etc. Communicates and promotes Desert Highlands' services and amenities as well as community news. Develops procedures and programs to effectively communicate with Members. Must maintain the Desert Highlands' mission, vision and values by exhibiting the following behaviors; excellence and competence, collaboration, innovation, and commitment to our community, and accountability and ownership. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinates, edits, and generates articles for Member Newsletter. Facilitates printing and mailing of newsletter and enclosures. Design and generate member promotional flyers, brochures and documents for events and services. Create and post email news blasts, paperless mailings, monthly paperless statements, monthly President's letters/ emails; maintain/manage email distribution lists. Responsible for the distribution and coordination of Member mailings, monthly calendar, newsletter, and special event mailings, i.e. Member votes, Presidents letters. Maintains Member Website: Updates calendar, event postings, menus/specials, directory listings, agronomy updates, homes/lots for sale, photos, minutes, financials, brochures, correspondence; sets up member access accounts. Redesign/develop website content; periodically implement website improvements. Update 4 digital screens throughout property. Coordinates and updates the annual Member Roster, including the mailing and distribution of same. Disseminate Member information/photos to department staff. Conduct Tech Tutorials for Members. Greets and assists Members and provides the highest form of service possible by providing accurate information/service related to all departments. Assist with various member requests/projects/faxes. Design and order staff business cards. Responsible for social media postings and content. Attends management and other meetings as scheduled. Produces/Organizes Calendar Meetings. Assists Member Relations/ Director of Sales and other department managers with brochures, flyers, etc. Completes special projects as assigned. Continually gathers materials and information to create and maintain a "fresh" approach to communications. Assists COO and HR Director in recognizing Member/Employee life events: Orders flowers and prepares cards and memorial donations as appropriate or requested. Back up for Member Relations/ Director of Sales when she is out of the office or unavailable. Back up for Executive Assistant to COO when EA is out of office. QUALIFICATIONS Present a positive, professional image. Must be self-motivated and customer service oriented. Strong interpersonal as well as written and oral communication skills. Creative with extensive writing background. Must demonstrate appropriate analytical skills, attention to detail, organizational and project management skills. Sound judgment and decision making skills; ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Reliable and predictable attendance. Computer proficiency in using several software applications to include Microsoft Office Suite, Publisher, Adobe Creative Suite and Acrobat database programs. Ability to operate camera and actively take pictures during Club events and activities. Ability to work with general office equipment such as a personal computer and keyboard, facsimile machines and photocopier. Preferred: Education/experience in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, Social Media or related field. Web site content management experience. Experience in Hospitality and/or an HOA. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). Two or more year's administrative/secretarial experience or communications experience in a fast paced, multi-faceted environment. A.A. or B.S. degree in Communications, Marketing, or Graphic Design preferred. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT Position is in busy, non-smoking Administration Building in a private residential community in N. Scottsdale. Must be able to frequently sit, stand, bend, use finger, handle, or feel; talk to hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and walk. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to interior office climate. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
