Dog Daycare Van Driver + Daycare Attendant Montara, CA www.thedoghousebayarea.com About the position The Dog house is looking for an experienced dog person, animal lover, and go getter to join our awesome team. This is a split position including both transportation and daycare attendant working daily with dogs of all sizes, temperaments and breeds. Picking them up and dropping them off from their homes throughout the bay area and bringing them to our outdoor facility as well as engaging with dogs during our doggy daycare program. Responsibilities - Responsible for the safe transportation of daycare and boarding dogs to and from their homes in The Dog House van - Follow daily routes and log pick up and drop off times - Interact with clients at time of handoff in a professional and pleasant manner - Inform manager on duty of any issues or concerns from clients regarding dogs - Responsible for washing the van weekly at our facility - Gas fill ups - When not driving tasks include: - Tending to daycare and boarding dogs onsite during daycare - Cleaning / Sanitizing indoor and outside kennels, cots, mats, toys, etc. - Various Barn / Property duties as needed Requirements - Mandatory 3-5 years dog care experience (kennel attendant, RVT, vet assistant, etc.) - Mandatory clean driving record - Strong dog knowledge and sense of dog behaviors - Alert and aware of surroundings and dogs at all times - Demonstrated leadership abilities and ability to handle tasks without being asked or supervised - Committed and focused with demonstrated work ethic, personal motivation, positive attitude and sustained enthusiasm - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Absolute ability to be trustworthy and discreet when entering client homes and yards and respectful of client confidentiality - Dependable and reliable with good attendance record - Able to lift up to 50lbs Qualities that will bring success to the role - Self-starter and team player - Approachable, calm, flexible and assertive - Passion for animals and their well being - Business + Tech savvy a plus Compensation Fair compensation depending on experience Job Type: Full-time Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour, Depending on Experience
