    Job Title: Canine Handler

    Job Summary:
    We are seeking dedicated and experienced Canine Handlers to join our team. The ideal candidates should have a passion for dogs and a solid background in dog handling in a daycare, boarding setting. As a Canine Handler, you will be responsible for effectively managing dogs, ensuring their overall well-being, and supporting various daily operations. Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work weekends and holidays! Be able to be on your feet for extended periods of time.

    Responsibilities:
    1. Handle dogs in daycare in accordance with established policies and procedures.
    2. Plan, schedule, and execute daily play sessions to improve and maintain, agility, and socialization skills.
    3. Ensure dogs' physical and mental safety in their environment.
    4. Assess and evaluate each dog's behavior.
    5. Conduct daily health checks.
    6. Prepare and maintain accurate records of socialization progress, health checks, and any incidents or concerns observed.
    7. Maintain a clean and organized play area, ensuring the safety of both dogs and handlers.
    8. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any repairs or replacements needed.
    9. Assist in the organization and execution of special events and demonstrations involving dogs if needed.
    10. Provide excellent customer service by answering inquiries, offering advice, and addressing any concerns or issues related to dogs' training and behavior.

    Requirements:

    1. Weekend and holiday availability

    2. Previous experience as a professional handler, or in a related field is highly preferred.

    3. Certification in dog training and behavior modification is a plus.
    4. Deep knowledge and understanding of various dog breeds, their temperaments, and behavior patterns.
    5. Ability to handle and control dogs of all sizes and temperaments.
    6. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with dog owners and team members.
    7. Proficient in using positive reinforcement techniques while working with dogs.
    8. Knowledge of canine health, nutrition, and first aid.
    9. Physical stamina and strength to handle dogs of various sizes, lift heavy objects, and spend long hours outdoors in all weather conditions.
    10. Reliable transportation to commute to the training facility and other locations as needed.
