    Job Description

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    BSA IS THE TECHNOLOGY KNIFE FOR THE OPERATIONS TEAM. THIS ROLE HELPS FACILITATE A NUMBER OF KEY DAILY AND STRATEGIC TASKS. THIS PERSON SHOULD HAVE GOOD PROJECT MANAGEMENT SKILLS. A GOOD LISTENING ABILITY FOR UNCOVERING UNDERLYING ISSUES A USER MIGHT NOT UNDERSTAND. BEDSIDE MANNER IS IMPORTANT TO BEING EFFECTIVE IN THE LONG RUN.

     

    MAIN JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • DAILY

      • SUPPORT OPERATIONS WITH TECHNOLOGY

        • WMS (IN HOUSE)

          • INTERFACE BETWEEN OPS AND SOFTWARE FIRM

          • CREATE / MANAGE / PRIORITIZE SUPPORT TICKETS / REQUESTS

          • TROUBLESHOOT ISSUES ON THE FLOOR TO IDENTIFY IF THE PROBLEM IS SOFTWARE, HARDWARE, USER ERROR, TRAINING NEED, OR NEW REQUIREMENT.

          • REVIEW COMMON NEEDS / INFORMATION REQUESTS. BUILD OR REQUEST TOOLS TO ADDRESS THOSE NEEDS

        • WMS (CLIENT FACING)

          • ENGAGE WITH CLIENTS TO INTEGRATE WITH WMS

          • MONITOR PROCESSES / DATA FLOW INTO AND OUT OF WMS. ADDRESS ERRORS AND WORK WITH CLIENTS / TEAM ON FIXING ISSUES TIMELY.

        • DBA

          • RECEIVE REGULAR FILES FROM ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT TEAM TO INGEST CLIENT FILES AND FORMAT FOR OPERATIONS TEAM TO USE. COMMON REQUESTS ARE CREATING SHIPPING FILES AND DISTRIBUTION INSTRUCTIONS.
        • SAAS AND APP SUPPORT

          • EVALUATE AND HELP RESOLVE ISSUES WITH COMMON APPLICATIONS THE OPERATIONS TEAM USES. EXAMPLES OF APPLICATIONS ARE SHIPSTATION, BLASTRAMP, BASECAMP AND SOME CLIENT DRIVEN SYSTEMS SUCH AS FULL CIRCLE.
        • IT SUPPORT

          • HELP EXTEND THE REACH OF IT BY BEING FIRST TOUCH POINT / ON SITE HELP WHEN AN ISSUE ARISES AND THERE IS NO IT SUPPORT IN THE BUILDING.
    • STRATEGIC

      • EVALUATE SYSTEMS AND APPLICATIONS FOR EFFECTIVENESS. CURRENT AND NEW.

      • HELP IDENTIFY, DOCUMENT AND TRAIN STAFF ON MISSING AND INCORRECT PROCESSES ASSOCIATED WITH TECHNOLOGY. AN EXAMPLE WOULD BE REVIEWING HOW USERS USE THE WMS TO CHECK IN NEW MATERIAL.

      • REVIEW KEY OPERATIONAL PROJECTS AND HELP DEVELOP KPI REPORTING FOR OPERATIONS AND MANAGEMENT TEAM

      • IDENTIFY FOR IT SYSTEM NEEDS AND SHORTFALLS THE OPERATIONS TEAM

    • OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED AS DEEMED NECESSARY

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • NECESSARY:
      • MS OFFICE EXPERTISE
      • SQL AND DATA MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE
      • PROJECT MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE
      • TICKET APPLICATION AND MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
