Summary & Reports to:
Reporting to the VP of Finance, this position plays a critical role in unlocking invaluable insights for the Edge. Director of Web Analytics is accountable for leading and managing the company’s overall analytics program – web analytics, CRM insights, Performance Marketing, and In-Club analytics.
Duties & Responsibilities/Essential Functions: Design and implement a well-structured web analytics program
Study and analyze site behavior patterns to optimize lead conversion funnel and user experience
Build an AB Testing roadmap – execute and measure test ideas with statistical significance, and provide site update suggestions based on data
Evaluate and implement a third-party AB Testing and Personalization tools for multivariate testing
Work closely with digital marketing to measure marketing and email performance
Own our CRM database and uncover valuable insights to leverage across our marketing programs and in-club setup
Segment CRM lead and customer lists for more personalized marketing messaging
Automate the web and marketing performance reporting
Perform ad hoc data analysis outside of the digital team (i.e. demographic analysis for new club openings, cohort analysis, in-club trends, etc.)
Education & Experience:· A University degree or equivalent experience is required. Related degree in Statistics / Computer Science / Math is an asset
· 7+ years in web analytics or related field
· 3+ years of multivariate AB Testing experience
· Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or Heap Analytics experience required
· Proficiency in Python and SQL
· Must be proficient in website tag management
· Strong database management skills and understanding of website architecture required
· Related industry experience preferred, but not required (i.e. retail, hospitality, leisure, fitness, etc.) and a passion for fitness
Physical Demands:This job operates in the community, the corporate office and the health club environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. This position will require sitting at a desk and being on your feet behind the front desk.
Work Environment: This job operates in the community, the corporate office and the health club environment. This position routinely deals with community members, club employees, club members and vendors. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones. This is a high paced environment.
Travel: Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Position type & expected hours of work:
This is a full-time exempt position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
