DIRECTOR OF MARKETING

What You’ll DO:
· Develops and maintains brand and style guides which detail the proper use of all brand trademarks and logos.
· Partner with VP Marketing and other Marketing Directors create Annual, Quarterly and Monthly marketing campaigns to drive new leads resulting in new memberships for The Edge Fitness Clubs
· Plan/coordinate and execute all active club marketing campaigns
· Ensure consistency of differentiation in visuals and copy across all media. Provides direction in achieving compliance and uniformity of all company standards.
· Ensure all national marketing programs and processes are communicated and effectively and consistently administered
· Partner closely with Sales, Club Management and The Edge leadership team to develop internal and external demand creation strategies and plans
· Collaborate with Sr Manager of Digital Content in managing strategy and presence on major social media platforms to build credibility and prospect/customer engagement with Company
· Leverage internal and 3rd party data to plan, execute and measure effectiveness of Traditional Marketing Channels including but not limited to Direct Mail, TV, Radio, Outdoor, Special events, PR, etc
· On a weekly basis, assess results of measurable media channels and make recommendations for improvement when needed
· Regularly identify new marketing channels to test and implement
· Work with Director of Field Marketing/NCO in creating hand-offs and ramping plans after a new Club is open
· Leverage our Personas segmentation data to create more efficient and effective marketing campaigns to acquire new members on a quarterly/monthly basis
· Leverage Owned Media (social channels, newsletters, text) to create an annual content plan in partnership with Sr Manager, Branded Content
· Daily orchestrator of all agency activity including communications, creative and design related workstreams from briefing to program recaps – includes media, creative and PR agencies
What You Will NEED:
· Excellent project management skills
· Demonstrated success in creating brand strategies that translate into actionable and effective campaigns
· Strategic and creative business mindset
· High energy individual who is able to work semi-autonomously and embraces change
· Strong MS Office software skills with an ability to adapt learning to incorporate new technologies
· Ability to act with tact, diplomacy and professionalism
· Ability to work with a sense of urgency and demonstrates a “roll up the sleeves” mentality
· A University degree or equivalent experience is required. Related degree in Marketing and/or MBA is an asset
· Minimum 10 years experience in marketing, preferably on the client side
· Intimate understanding of how to work with agencies in providing feedback and getting maximum value from external partners
· Understanding and experience with the full media funnel and integrated media planning
· Experience using marketing/sales data and how to apply insights to marketing planning
· Experience applying consumer segmentation to targeted marketing campaigns
· Ability to analyze results of marketing programs and make recommendations for improvement
· In-depth understanding of the creative development process and demonstrated ability to balance brand building with commercial success
· Fitness or multi-unit retail experience is a plus but not a requirement
