    Job Description

    Provide support to a federal agency in the writing and editing of organizational documents including standard operating procedures, policy documents, job aids, etc. Ensure consistent development of materials, consistent applications of content and format standards, and maintenance and accuracy of developed materials. Further, ensure developed materials are well written, clearly communicate the needs and expectations of the procedure, policy, etc., and meet the expectations of the client.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    •        Support the development of policies, SOPs, and other guidance documents from initial concept to publication; monitor and contribute to the entire “publications lifecycle.”

    •        Research and analyze higher-level policies/guidance to identify and align with requirements and business practices of the organization.

    •        As needed, coordinate and facilitate the review and “cleanup” of the client’s intranet materials and content through a multi-phase approach featuring research, discrepancy identification, clarification research, content development, etc.

    •        Analyze existing client intranet resources and provide recommendations around consolidating, updating, retaining, or retiring published pages, as appropriate.

    •        Coordinate with subject matter experts and teams both large and small to revise a repository of policy/procedure documents to meet content management standards.

    •        Support and / or lead assessment and remediation efforts of the client’s Delegations of Authority effort, as required.

    •        Map client internal processes with an emphasis on creating efficiencies and drafts, coordinate approval, and roll out internal communications around published job aids, as appropriate.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    ·        Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field required.

    ·        2-3 years’ experience.

    ·        Excellent verbal and communications skills.

    ·        Excellent writing skills.

    ·        Experience with Standard Operating Procedure and organizational policy development a plus.

    ·        Experience with federal government agency writing, content development and related support a plus.

    ·        Ability to quickly grasp nuances of policies, procedures, etc. and incorporate into appropriate materials.

    ·        Remote/hybrid work environments are supported but candidates should be located within the Washington DC, Maryland, Northern Virginia (DMV) area.

    Work environment is an office setting (workstation). Employee is not exposed to weather conditions and noise level in work area is minimal.
