    THE EMBASSY IS HIRING FOR A RIGGING ARTIST TO JOIN THEIR TEAM! 

    ABOUT THE EMBASSY 

    The Embassy is a Canadian, Oscar-nominated production house, specializing in live-action production, post-production, and animation for feature films, television, and commercials. We are an independent creative studio with expertise in visual effects and production. Located in the heart of Vancouver’s Digital District, we work with global production companies, agencies and brands, in film, television and advertising. 

    ABOUT YOU 

    You are an experienced Rigging Artist with industry experience in film, commercials, and/or TV. You thrive in an environment where you have the freedom to leverage all aspects of our feature-film level pipeline to get assets and shots to final. Lastly, you are a superb communicator who can give and receive feedback and apply it to your work. 

    YOUR ROLE 

    As a Rigging Artist, you will design and maintain effective rigs for characters, prop and vehicles. You will work collaboratively with supervisors and other artists to ensure assets meet standards based on feedback and briefings. 

    • Rig characters, props, or vehicles in Maya.  

    • Craft robust control structures and skinning to help bring the models to life. 

    • Meet project milestones and deadlines on time.  

    • Collaborate with other artists to share knowledge and techniques.  

    • Communicate with other departments to receive feedback and resolve shot issues.  

    • Assist members of the Rigging team to learn and grow their skills to by providing informal feedback, tips and tricks, and encouragement.

      

    YOUR QUALIFICATIONS 

    • 3+ years of Rigging experience in commercials, film, or TV. 

    • Skilled in using Maya a must. 

    • Versed in Python, Houdini, Mari, Substance, and Nuke a plus. 

    • Possess great interpersonal skills; team-oriented, friendly and a people’s person. 

    • Be deadline driven and pro-active in finding solutions. 

    • Legal authorization to work in Canada.
