    As a Public Benefit Corporation, The Farm Project and our initiative Lettuce Grow are working on creating a new food system. We believe that the future of food lies in empowering thriving, localized food economies that benefit the health of the people, the planet and the communities around us.

    We are looking for a part-time Sales Development Representative who will be primarily responsible for utilizing inbound sales techniques to communicate with and close new customers. The secondary responsibility will be to develop new business by researching and collecting new business leads and contacting them through cold calls and cold emails. This is primarily an inside sales role responsible for selling Farmstands (our personalized vertical hydroponic farms). The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented team player who is energetic, eager, positive, persistent, entrepreneurial, and passionate about sustainable food. This role will work approximately 24 hours per week on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays.  

    RESPONSIBILITIES & COMPENSATION

    • Inside sales role that will communicate with inbound leads in a timely manner via phone calls, texts, and emails, and successfully convince leads to join our community by purchasing Farmstands.
    • Frequently utilize CRM to track leads and results.
    • Research and organize new business leads.
    • Cold call and cold email businesses and other organizations.
    • Showcase the Lettuce Grow brand, mission and service offering to consumers.
    • Engage with new customers and activate sales of Lettuce Grow Farmstands.
    • Host promotional tables at local events and in high-traffic areas.
    • Part-time, 24 hours per week on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Must be energetic, motivated, driven, positive, entrepreneurial and team-oriented.
    • Passion and interest in our mission of creating sustainable local food ecosystems and teaching people to grow their own food.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • A strong attention to detail.
    • A competitive go-getter.
    • Strong desire to learn and develop a career in sales.
    • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle. Ability to transport our Farmstand with your personal vehicle to local events.
    • Events may entail standing for 4+ hours and lifting up to 50 pounds as necessary.
    • Occasional work is required during nights and weekends
    • Occasional travel.
