    As a Public Benefit Corporation, The Farm Project and our initiative Lettuce Grow are working on creating a new food system. We believe that the future of food lies in empowering thriving, localized food economies that benefit the health of the people, the planet and the communities around us.

    We are looking for a part-time Business Developer who will be responsible for developing new business and promoting brand awareness of Lettuce Grow and selling Farmstands (our personalized hydroponic farms). The ideal candidates will be energetic, positive, team oriented, and entrepreneurial. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES & COMPENSATION

    • Part-time (10-20 hours per week) outside sales role with frequent travel within local territory.
    • Develop strategic sales direction and showcase the Lettuce Grow brand, mission and service offering to consumers.
    • Build a quarterly event calendar including Home & Garden shows, Farmers Markets and other events where we can effectively market Farmstands. Includes some nights and weekends as needed.
    • Build relationships with corporate accounts and identify local social media influencers. 
    • Job entails standing for 4+ hours and lifting up to 50 pounds.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Must be energetic, motivated, driven, positive, entrepreneurial and team oriented.
    • Passion and interest in our mission of creating sustainable local food ecosystems and teaching people to grow their own food!
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Desire to learn and develop a career in sales.
    • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle. Ability to drive company and/or personal vehicles to local events.
    • Events may entail standing for 4 hours and lifting up to 50 pounds as necessary.
