FIEGER LAW is hiring an Assistant Office Manager with accounting experience. We are a busy Southfield law firm and are seeking a qualified candidate to fill this position. Law firm experience requested, but not required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process client disbursements
- Reconcile statements from vendors and request missing invoices
- Prepare ad hoc reports on an as needed basis
- Ability to work with others outside the accounting department
- Make journal entries
- Process and make bank deposits
- Communicate with vendors and clients to resolve specific payment issue
- Knowledge of bank reconciliations
- Payroll Processing
- Employee Vacation and Time Management
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience finance, or other related fields
- Experience in data entry
- Knowledge of standard accounting procedures
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite programs, especially Excel.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
Candidate must possess good typing skills for data entry, good oral and communication skills both face-to-face and over the phone and have good working knowledge of accounting principles.
