Job Description

The Fila Group, LLC seeks a seasoned Technical Architect to review Agency’s software and cloud infrastructure and provide direction, guidance and expert advice in the areas of software development and application of technology, architectures, frameworks, methodologies, patterns, and best practices.

The role will focus on engineering innovative, strategic, and long-term solutions that align with Information Technology’s enterprise architecture. The Technical Architect will work collaboratively with business and technology stakeholders to establish and maintain technical assets within the enterprise technology portfolio.

The ideal candidate must possess a breadth of knowledge in multiple technology areas, along with strong leadership and communication skills.

 POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate the definition of technology standards, creation and maintenance of technology roadmaps incorporating the life cycle of all relevant technology components.
• Establish and maintain alignment of technical assets across domains (e.g., application, data, security, performance testing, etc.) within the enterprise portfolio
• Facilitate the definition of, and adherence to, policies, technical standards and usage guidelines
• Maintain an ongoing awareness of emerging technologies and industry trends to inform technical domain strategy and direction
• Assess technology controls and security measures
• Support reviews of systems and monitor agency’s process compliance
• Review release requests and recommend stage gate reviews
• Support the Technical Stage Gate Process

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• BS degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience developing, tuning, and implementing large scale, complex system architectures
• Experience with Cloud applications and mobile platforms (IOS & Android)
• Demonstrated experience with development platforms (Java, J2EE, JavaScript. PHP, C++, C#, VB, SQL, JBoss, WebLogic, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.)
• Experience with integrations and configuration of COTS products, including workflow, CRM and/or ERP Systems
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain excellent customer working relationships
• Working knowledge of and experience with other enterprise domains (application, security, infrastructure, CRM, case management, financial, data, etc.)
• Exposure to CMMI, ISO, and other industry best practices
• Familiarity with federal policies and practices around IT, innovation, and web engagement
• Candidates must be able to work on-site at Federal Agencies located in Washington, DC, and must be able to obtain a U.S. Federal Government contractor badge.
