    Our growing law firm is looking to hire a family attorney who is fiercely passionate about representing clients facing one of the most challenging times in their lives. Candidates should be adept at preparing necessary legal documents in connection with prenuptial agreements, initiating and finalizing divorces, alimony, child support/child custody, and real estate. Experience in handling legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence is also a must. If you have a proven record of success both in and out of court, apply now! Responsibilities: • Prepare legal documents such as legal pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases • Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs analyzing the situation then strategizing and deciding on a proper course of action • Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed • Communicate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move through the civil litigation process • Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current Qualifications: • Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required • Previous criminal justice or other legal background preferred • Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations • Active member of the ABA (American Bar Association) • Experience at a legal firm working on family law and real estate issues (determining marital property) for at least 1-2 years is required • At least 3+ years of family law litigation experience • Member of the FLORIDA BAR • Prior experience representing clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration • Must be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000+ DOE
