Job Description

The Mill's design team is an interdisciplinary group of creative and technical artists, who approach clients’ challenges through the aesthetic and process-oriented lens of design. This global group of creatives tackles title sequences, commercials, augmented reality filters and everything in between.

What you’ll do:

*Work with Designers, Senior Designers, and Artists to develop highly visually creative designs by applying an extensive knowledge of design techniques and design software and hardware.

*Coordinate and guide group creative processes to complete complex design projects. *Provide artistic direction to generate inspirational, conceptual and creative ideas within the Design team.

*Conceptualize and originate design briefs, and execute the design work for 2D and 3D animation and Motion Graphics.

*Work with the Creative Director and fellow designers to provide and develop a variety of visual solutions for clients.

*Create, design and animate where necessary, in collaboration with others or individually to suit the task at hand.

*Maintain contact with clients throughout the project to ensure the delivery of results that meet and exceed expectations.

*Present concepts and design ideas to the Mill team, listening to feedback and making recommendations where appropriate.

*Participate in weekly meetings with the Creative Director and Senior Designers. 

Qualifications

What you’ll need:

Essentials

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Visual Communications Design, Graphic Design or a related field of study.

Technical

Work experience or academic coursework must have included: Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, After Effects, and Premiere; Maxon Cinema 4D (C4D); User Experience (UX) design.

Experience

Two years of experience in a related design position.

Experience establishing visual hierarchy, layout, typography, and color for animation and motion design.

Experience preparing presentations and communicating original design ideas.

Experience working in a post-production or creative environment.
