The Fox Magazine is a premier lifestyle magazine seeking a motivated social media strategist for its UNPAID remote internship program. We repeat, this is unpaid, but we are happy to offer school credit if needed.

Open to college students and recent graduates, this program offers great digital experience in the day-to-day world of magazine publishing. Since March of 2016, the magazine continues to explore an original, vivid, and timeless insight into the essence of photography, travel, food, fashion, music, and technology.

Interns will have the opportunity to work completely remote with an organized team in assisting communication and marketing efforts through key social media networks: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Tumblr. Tasks include writing captions, post scheduling, analytic review, gathering content, marketing campaigns, and audience engagement are all typical tasks assigned depending on his/her interest.

This role will connect interns with a wide professional network of brands, journalists, scholars, photographers, musicians, travelers, chefs, and even fashion designers. As they work, interns gain valuable insight into the workings of a magazine with global reach. Opportunities to receive special projects, and attend events may also include stipends.

The Fox Magazine offers a flexible duration for each internship. Duration can range from 4 weeks to 20 weeks and requires a minimum of 5 hours per week.

This internship could lead into a full-time, part-time or contract position. Responsibilities during each internship may vary according to the production schedule and upcoming events.

Communication will be made through Google Hangouts every week to ensure educational values are being upheld. Tasks will also be remote and assigned on a week to week basis.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Experience with SEO including basic understanding of Google Analytics a plus
• Computer skills, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Team player, but also has the ability to work independently
